Privacy Policy

• Account information: email address, permanent username, display name, account status, authentication and verification state, Terms-of-Service acceptance version and timestamp, 18+ eligibility confirmation, and related account metadata. Authentication credentials are handled through our authentication provider.
• League and gameplay information: league memberships and roles, invitations, league settings and rules, selections, confirmation receipts, kickoff and reveal state, results, standings, achievements, exception decisions, and historical competition records.
• Communications and support: league announcements, commissioner-member conversations, platform feedback, notification preferences, delivery state, and messages you send through Four Down or to the Four Down support address.
• Device and technical information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, timestamps, security and diagnostic events, service-worker state, push-notification subscription information if you opt in, and similar operational data.
• Advertising and consent information: when advertising is enabled, consent choices and advertising-related identifiers may be processed by Google and other approved advertising partners as described below.

• Provide, secure, administer, and troubleshoot Four Down.
• Verify accounts and age eligibility, record required Terms acceptance, enforce invitation and league-access rules, preserve concealed-pick privacy before kickoff, and maintain competition integrity.
• Process selections, confirmations, results, standings, achievements, notifications, and permanent league history.
• Send transactional messages, invitations, confirmation receipts, reminders, digests, and other communications you request or that are necessary to operate the service.
• Review pilot feedback, improve usability, investigate errors or abuse, and maintain audit and security records.
• Support pilot monetization through programmatic advertising when those placements are enabled, subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.

Four Down is a private league competition, but some information is intentionally shared with other authorized league participants. Depending on the league and competition state, members may see display names, roles, standings, finalized history, achievements, and selections after the applicable kickoff/reveal rules allow them to become visible. Commissioners do not receive special access to unrevealed member selections before kickoff. Platform administrators may access information when reasonably necessary to operate, support, secure, or audit the service.

Four Down uses essential browser storage and cookies for functions such as authentication, security, and session management. If pilot advertising is enabled, Four Down may use Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager, and approved advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers as a result of ad serving. Four Down may also offer an optional rewarded Scout experience in which a user voluntarily views a rewarded ad to unlock one current, platform-wide aggregate pick snapshot for a selected game before kickoff.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Four Down or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. For users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Four Down uses Google's certified Consent Management Platform to provide consent choices before eligible advertising processing. Four Down's advertising implementation is designed not to send account email addresses, usernames, or individual pick contents to Google as ad-request identifiers. Rewarded Platform Pulse results are generated by Four Down from aggregate confirmed selections; individual identities and league-specific picks are not sent to Google as the reward content. When you unlock a Pulse, Four Down may store your most recent aggregate snapshot in local browser storage so a later Scout can show movement since your prior snapshot.

We use service providers to operate Four Down. Depending on configuration and feature use, these providers may include:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and application backend services.
• Vercel for website hosting and delivery.
• Resend for transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare for inbound support-email routing and automated-abuse protection through Turnstile when configured.
• Browser push infrastructure for push notifications that you explicitly enable.
• Google for the designated support mailbox and, when enabled, AdSense, Google Ad Manager rewarded advertising, and consent-management services.
• Error-monitoring providers if optional monitoring is enabled for the hosted service.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate security incidents, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate protections.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure Four Down, provide league history, resolve disputes, satisfy audit needs, and meet legal obligations. Four Down is designed to preserve finalized competition records and league history over time. Some finalized, audit, or integrity records may therefore remain even if an account is later deactivated or a privacy request is made, where retention is necessary and permitted. Backups and security logs may persist for limited operational periods after primary records change.

Four Down uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and competition information, including authenticated access controls, database authorization, concealed-selection rules, secure connection requirements, audit records, and restricted administrative functions. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

• You can manage routine notification and email preferences in the Four Down notification center.
• You can decline browser push permission or remove a push subscription through your device/browser and Four Down notification settings.
• Where Google consent messaging applies, you can consent, decline, or manage advertising purposes through the presented controls and later revisit those choices through the privacy/cookie settings control provided with the consent experience.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.

Signed-in users can submit privacy questions or requests through Send feedback. If you cannot sign in, email support@playfourdown.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Four Down's controlled pilot is limited to users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit minors to create or use Four Down accounts. If we learn that an ineligible minor has created an account, we may restrict or disable the account and take reasonable steps to address the associated information consistent with applicable law and legitimate record-retention needs.

Four Down and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections and legal requirements can differ by jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and consent choices for relevant processing.

We may update this policy as Four Down changes, including as pilot advertising, rewarded Scout, platform announcements, or other features are introduced or refined. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes materially, and we may provide additional in-app or other notice when appropriate.
